It is with great sadness that I share with everyone that Mom passed away this morning around 5:30AM. She passed comfortably in her sleep. After a courageous battle with cancer, she is no longer suffering.

She lived life to the fullest, with no regrets whatsoever. She treasured the time she spent with her friends and family. They were the sunshine of her life.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, called, prayed for us and kept us in their thoughts. I can not tell you how deeply touched we all were by your love and support.

Grant and Jill, John and I were saddened at the news of your Mom's passing. She dearly loved John's home grown tomatoes and loved mushrooming. We have great memories of your wonderful Mom. It is our prayer, you will find comfort in good memories of her. She was such a sweet person and this world is a better place because she was in it. Love, Joyce and John Kamp

Dear Grant and Jill
I was so sorry to hear about your mom. Although I didn't know her well, she was always so friendly and nice when we would meet. She was so easy to like! I know both of you are too young to have lost your mom and my heart truly goes out to you. You have been blessed with two parents who love you dearly and, to me, it is evident because of their continued friendship and concern for each other and their devotion to the two of you. Take what they have taught you and grow from here. You won't always be so sad, but you will always miss your mom. If I can ever do anything to help you, please call me. I love you both.

Grant, Jill, Bill and Kathy,
I was deeply saddened to hear that Barb had passed, but also know that she no longer has to suffer. I appreciate all the good times we had growing up, playing at her house, in the basement and in the apricot tree. Betty and Gilbert were like second parents to us and we enjoyed going to Peoria to see everyone. I have so many fond memories and will cherish them for years to come. Grant, I have never had the privilege to meet you but from your mom's comments she was very proud of you. Jill, I will always remember when you and your mom came to Monterey, CA, and I met you for lunch. You got so freaked out by the shrimp that you left the table. I know it was embarrassing but hey, we can laugh about it now. Bill, it was great to see you at Charlie's party and enjoyed our visit (with Cindy too). Kathy, I don't know how long it has been since we have seen each other but again I cherish our times growing up. May God give each of you comfort during this time and may you sense His presence with you as you remember what a courageous lady Barb was. God bless all of you,
